Michael Barbieri

Michael Barbieri serves as the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Capital Markets at A10 Capital. In this role, he oversees the financing of the firm's balance sheet and loan origination activity, as well as all capital markets functions, including managing financing relationships and securitization initiatives.

Prior to joining A10 Capital, Mr. Barbieri was an Executive Director at UBS for four years within the Real Estate Finance Capital Markets team. There, he led CMBS distribution, managed credit selection and loan structuring, cultivated key client relationships, and directed various business development efforts.

Before his time at UBS, Mr. Barbieri spent over 15 years at Goldman Sachs as part of the Real Estate Finance Group, where he was responsible for the group's CMBS securitization activity, including CRE CLO, Non-Agency and Agency transactions. Over his career, he has worked on more than 100 transactions totaling over $100 billion in securitized issuance. He began his career at Ernst & Young in the Structured Finance Advisory group, focusing on CMBS.

Mr. Barbieri earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. Mr. Barbieri is an active member of CREFC and currently sits on the Board of Governors.
