Job Summary

An experienced Financial Controller to undertake all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.


  • Manage all accounting operations and department
  • Prepare timely monthly and quarterly consolidated financial statements
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Stay current on changes to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Reconcile complex accounting imbalances
  • Coordinate the preparation of annual and periodic audits
  • Coordinate directly with tax accountants to prepare company tax returns, K-1s, and any other tax filing requirements
  • Manage confidential and sensitive documents related to payroll and benefits
  • Coordinate renewal of corporate insurance policies
  • Assist capital markets team with budget and projection models
  • Play an integral role in transitioning company to a new servicing system
  • Perform any other duties as may be required or needed


  • Minimum 5+ years of accounting related experience
  • Proven experience working as a Financial Controller
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Commercial real estate lending experience preferred
  • Strong personal and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be detail oriented, quick learner, and possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify process weaknesses and implement solutions to improve efficiencies
  • Experience managing highly confidential information and ability to maintain privacy
  • Experience with NetSuite
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Windows, and Outlook required
